What is Moss ?

Moss - Virtual Sysadmin for Web Developers. The perfect teammate for web development professionals: freelancers, agencies, and startups.

🛠 Moss's Features

What can developer do with Moss

I manage your Ubuntu servers

Connect me to your new Ubuntu server and I’ll set it up on your behalf. I can manage your cloud server, vps... or the one under your table! But first make sure it runs a fresh Ubuntu installation and I can log into it via SSH.

Or better yet, try my integration with cloud providers and I’ll also take care of that.

I set up your web applications

I deploy and configure web and database servers for your web applications – either Node.js, PHP, or static (Javascript + HTML + CSS) sites. In addition, I natively support web development frameworks like Laravel, Symfony and WordPress, but I’m not limited to them.

I streamline your workflow

I can deploy your application with one click or automatically after git push. Link your GitHub, GitLab, and/or Bitbucket accounts, or set up your git repo… and that’s all! I’ll get in charge of your deployments.

I deploy with zero downtime

Deploy your application as many times as you need without affecting your users! I can deploy a new version while the former one keeps being served until the deployment ends. Take advantage of this feature to update dependencies, run database migrations, or perform any other tasks you may need before activating your new release.

I monitor and alert if things break

I can monitor your resources without a rest. You’ll be able to check the load of your servers and the health of your websites without having to set up anything by hand. Better yet, I’ll send you a Slack message or an email to tell you about any potential issue I find.

I optimize performance

I want your applications to run as fast as possible. That’s why I configure your websites to use optimizations like HTTP/2 and OCSP Stapling, among others. Google and your users will appreciate it!

I care about security

Security first. I set up firewalls, security updates, user permissions and SSH/SFTP access to your servers following industry’s best practices.

I’m a team player

I can help your teammates join a given project. They’ll be able to cooperate in the development of the application but won’t have permission to mess with system configs.

I like things organized

I can help you organize your servers, websites and teammates around workspaces in an easy way. In that way you can use different servers for different clients, collaborate with multiple teams, or deploy production and test environments without losing control.
